This Saturday there was a meeting in which the public and organic positions of the youth organization of the Canarian Coalition in Lanzarote in which they have expressed the importance of the celebration of October 22 for the nationalist formations.
The meeting, which took place in the C.S.C. Del Islote was attended by public and organic positions of the youth organization in Lanzarote as well as organic positions of the Canarian Coalition. In this act, the young Nationalists have defended the importance of the celebration of Flag Day as a symbol of Canarian identity and the festival of "those of us who feel proud to be different."
The young nationalists of Lanzarote explain in a statement that "we demand that the flag of the seven green stars be the official flag of the Canarian nation, since it represents our identity and is the one that the Canarian people feel and wave in all their claims. More so when in this archipelago one aspires to an equitable island model where the demands of each island do not represent a brake on the development of a common project. This fits perfectly with the symbol of the seven green stars of the tricolor flag."
