The two Nueva Canarias councilors in Tías, Mame Fernández and Érica Machín, and the party's councilor in Tinajo, Ramón Ortíz, have announced that they will not be part of any electoral list of the party for the upcoming elections and that they will "shortly" hand over their respective minutes.

"This is a decision that has been made coherently and as a consequence of the lack of coordination that the party has been carrying out on the island of Lanzarote, where we have not felt integrated or supported despite the electoral results obtained in these municipalities in the past elections," they state in a statement.

In the case of Mame Fernández, he is also president of the Local Committee of NC in Tías, while Ramón Ortiz holds the same position in Tinajo. According to them, they have already conveyed their decision to the party's Secretary of Organization.

The decision has been made public a few days after the agreement between Nueva Canarias and Somos Lanzarote for the next elections was signed.
