The Lanzarote Security Consortium has delivered this Tuesday to the Haría City Council a new semi-automatic external defibrillator to improve the response to a cardiac emergency. The defibrillator will provide coverage to one of the busiest spaces in the town of Haría, its Municipal Market, where tourists and residents come to enjoy the products of the northern area.
The president of the entity, Marcos Bergaz, together with the manager, Enrique Espinosa and the counselor Hugo Delgado, traveled to the northern town, who handed over the device to the mayor Evelia García.
With this new action, the Consortium continues its policy of expanding the "cardioprotected" areas of the island, especially the locations and events with the highest influx of people, which recommends the presence of defibrillators to attend to any cardiac emergency that may occur.
At the delivery ceremony, the Security Councilor, Marcos Bergaz, announced that "they will continue this line of collaboration with the municipalities, acquiring more devices that respond to the needs transferred by the City Councils".
For Evelia García, mayor of Haría, they continue "increasing the devices to react in case of cardiac emergency. On this occasion, through the provision of a new defibrillator in a space as unique as our municipal market, fulfilling our objective of expanding the 'cardioprotected' areas, for the safety of everyone".
