The PSOE of Lanzarote will celebrate on March 15th and 16th its XI Island Congress, an event of great importance in which the organization will renew its commitment to the socialist project and to the solutions that the island needs.
The congress will take place in the Aura Events Hall, in Arrecife, located on the esplanade of the fairgrounds next to the Cabildo headquarters, and will feature two prominent open events: the inauguration, on Saturday, March 15th at 09:00, and the closing, on Sunday, March 16th at 11:00.
In this meeting, María Dolores Corujo, current general secretary of the PSOE of Lanzarote and deputy in Congress, will be proclaimed again as leader of the socialist formation on the island, according to the party's statutes, as she is the only candidate who has presented her candidacy in the internal process.
"The XI Island Congress will not only serve to ratify the party's leadership in Lanzarote, but will also be a space for debate and strategic planning in which the priorities and actions for the coming years will be defined, with the aim of continuing to build a more just, progressive and egalitarian society," they say from the party.
The PSOE of Lanzarote invites the membership and citizens to closely follow this process and to actively participate in the construction of "a better future for the island."
