The Socialist Party of Lanzarote celebrated its traditional Christmas toast this Saturday, a meeting in which militants and institutional representatives gathered to say goodbye to the year and renew their commitment to the values that guide their political work on the island.
The event was led by the island secretary of the PSOE of Lanzarote and Deputy in Congress, María Dolores Corujo, who addressed some emotional words to the attendees. Corujo highlighted the value of unity, solidarity, and collective effort in a year marked by important social and economic challenges. “This toast is a symbol of the commitment we have with our land and our people. We have faced enormous challenges, but we have shown that together, as a party and as a community, we can continue building a fairer, more sustainable, and inclusive future for Lanzarote and La Graciosa,” said Corujo.
The Christmas toast also served to reflect on the party's achievements in 2024, such as the defense of a sustainable tourism model, the improvement of public services, and the protection of social rights, while setting the challenges for the coming year.
The act concluded with a message of commitment: “The PSOE of Lanzarote will continue working to guarantee a dignified life for all citizens, always defending the values of equality, justice, and progress.”
