The PSOE of Lanzarote has expressed its most sincere congratulations and gratitude to Leopoldo Díaz, who is retiring after an exemplary career of more than forty years at the service of Lanzarote and La Graciosa.

The general secretary of the PSOE of Lanzarote has pointed out that "the dedication and spirit of service demonstrated by Polo Díaz, who throughout his career has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the well-being of our citizens, performing his duties with a dedication and professionalism that have left an indelible mark on our society."

"His effort and dedication for more than 20 years at the head of the Island Plan Office have been fundamental for the sustainable development of the island, achieving with his contribution that Lanzarote was an example in the history of the development of the Canary Islands. We have the current Lanzarote thanks to the commitment of public workers like Polo Díaz," Corujo added.

"Despite the many and damaging attempts by those who do not defend the island model of the majority of Lanzarote residents to stop Polo's professional work, he has always maintained a firm and unwavering performance. Polo Díaz has been a fundamental pillar in the Cabildo of Lanzarote, promoting sustainability, balance and also justice. A professional whose capacity has been crucial to significantly preserve the quality of life of our islands is retiring," said the general secretary of the socialists in Lanzarote.

"From the PSOE of Lanzarote, we want to extend our best wishes for this new stage of his life. We know that his retirement is more than deserved, and we are sure that he will continue to be a source of inspiration and a reference for everyone. We are deeply grateful for his tireless work and we are convinced that his legacy will last for many years to come," concludes Corujo on behalf of his party.
