The president of the PP sees it as “surreal” that Joel Delgado is carrying out the “network strategies” of Echedey Eugenio and San Ginés

Ástrid Pérez also questions her party colleague's opposition to the pact with the PSOE now. “When in 2011 he was a councilor in the government and we had to agree with the PSOE, he thought it was a very natural and very good pact”

The president of the PP in Lanzarote, Ástrid Pérez, has described as “surreal” the situation that is being experienced with the former senator and former councilor of the party in Arrecife, Joel Delgado, who is providing services for Coalición Canaria. Delgado himself, who was at the CC headquarters last Tuesday during the press conference they offered to announce the pact in Haría with the Platform of José Torres Stinga, told this media that he was there because he works “for a company that works for Coalición Canaria”.

“It seems that he is in charge of digital marketing and also, because he himself has acknowledged it, he proposes the strategies and social networks of some CC officials, such as the spokesperson for the nationalist group in Arrecife, Echedey Eugenio, and Pedro San Ginés”, Ástrid Pérez pointed out on Radio Lanzarote-Onda Cero.

“It is at least curious”, added the island president of the PP and mayor of Arrecife, who then called it “surreal”, when talking about the attacks they receive from San Ginés and Eugenio, both she and her party for their pact with the PSOE.

In this regard, Ástrid Pérez has also questioned the change of criteria that she believes Joel Delgado has had. “I know that he has publicly stated that he disagrees with the pact with the PSOE, but it is also curious and it catches my attention. In 2011, so that Cándido Reguera could be mayor and he a councilor in the government, we had to agree with the PSOE. And there he thought it was a very natural and very good pact. But of course, it must be that now in 2019, since he was not a councilor, he no longer likes the pact so much”, she has ironically stated.

“The only two times that the Popular Party has had the Mayor's Office of Arrecife has been a consequence of CC refusing to give it to us, and the PSOE has been the only party that has granted it to us. Because CC has always refused to let us have the Mayor's Office of Arrecife. With which, it is funny that in 2011 the pact with the PSOE was very good and in 2019 the pact was very bad
