The Popular Party of San Bartolomé denounces a new episode of leaks in the Municipal Pavilion during a handball match of CB Zonzamas, which faced the batatero team against the 3Com Squad of the First Women's Territorial.
“It is not the first time that we denounce the deplorable state of the facility, with continuous leaks every time it rains and undignified changing rooms for athletes”, pointed out the spokesman for the popular in the municipality, Jeziel Martín, who demands “urgent and real measures in the face of this situation”.
In addition, the club itself has denounced on social media the episode that occurred this Sunday. “The club's own youth players had to dry the court with towels, a grotesque episode that demonstrates the terrible state of the pavilion”, adds Martín, who also recalls that the first team plays in the Gold Honor Division in that same place.
“We are facing one of the best seasons of CB Zonzamas, with the team in first position of the second category of national handball, and enduring playing in a facility that requires a major intervention for more than 20 years”, he adds.
In addition, the spokesman recalls that the vice president and councilor of Public Works, Jacobo Medina, "offered his hand to the city council" to undertake an intervention in the facility. “It seems that not only is reforming the Pavilion not on Isidro Pérez's list of priorities, but he is also not taking the Cabildo's outstretched hand. Meanwhile, we will continue to experience episodes of this type every time it rains in the municipality”, concludes the popular councilor.
