The Popular Party of Haría criticizes the non-compliance with the planned deadlines for the execution of the renovation works of the pavement and fencing of the sports court of the Sociocultural Center “El Marinero”, in Punta Mujeres. According to the populars, the works carried out by the Cabildo, and which are included within the Municipal Cooperation Plans, should have started on June 1 and be completed within 15 days.
“Although that was what was sold to us to the neighbors, the truth is that the previous Minister of Public Works and the former Mayor should have been more focused on continuing with their electoral promises than on fulfilling them, because as of today the court is still in a deplorable state and without any public explanation”, says the local president of the PP, David Álvarez.
The Populars highlight "the terrible conditions in which the court is as a whole with the grass completely worn out and broken, with the risk of falls that it entails, and the fencing and the goals themselves, rusty and with the nets practically broken".
For David Álvarez, the state of deterioration to which sports facilities arrive due to the lack of investment and maintenance is regrettable. “The saddest thing of all is that this type of work is not carried out before the summer period so that children and young people can fully enjoy this space when they enjoy their vacations.
