The Popular Party Group in the Cabildo of Lanzarote and La Graciosa has managed to carry out its proposal for the implementation of a bus line that connects Tinajo with the town of Playa Blanca. With this objective, the plenary has committed to carry out the corresponding prior study for its subsequent inclusion in the new programming of the island's public transport service.

The PP councilor, Jacobo Medina, positively values "the consensus that has existed when sharing the demand of the residents of the town of Tinajo who currently do not have any connection with the tourist area, despite the fact that it is one of the towns in which an increase in the demand for employment is expected due to the upcoming start-up of new accommodation facilities."

Medina has defended the importance of having a direct line between the two contiguous municipalities that allows residents to travel by bus to their workplace. "A measure that would also benefit the family economy in a difficult time due to the high cost of fuel and the general rise in prices," says the PP councilor.

The Popular Party believes that "it would be an important advance for the mobility of this municipality the possibility that workers can get to their jobs by public transport and return home at the end of it."
