The mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda, described the meeting held this Thursday with the director of the Canary Housing Institute, María Isabel Santana, and her technical team as "very productive and enlightening", where the highest authority of the Government of the Canary Islands guaranteed to the southern leader and the councilors of Housing and Public Works of Yaiza, Ángel Domínguez and Jonatan Lemes, respectively, the construction of 226 units for social rental for Yaiza foreseen in the Housing Plan promoted by the Canary Executive.

"Our commitment is to do our homework in terms of land transfer. We already took the first step by taking to the Plenary the transfer of a plot in Montaña Roja for the first phase of construction of 126 homes, taking good note now of new requirements to complete this first file and even start others for the transfer of new plots that allow compliance with the total forecast of the Housing Directorate," added the mayor of Yaiza.

Óscar Noda has publicly thanked María Isabel Santana and her technical team "because although it is natural for two public administrations to understand each other when there are common interests in favor of citizen benefit, it is more gratifying when those responsible for supra-municipal institutions demonstrate total willingness to speed up cumbersome bureaucratic procedures."
