Given the current lack of its own headquarters, the General Directorate of Labor has transferred the provision of these services to the offices of the General Directorate of Industry of the Ministry of Employment, Industry and Commerce of the Government of the Canary Islands, located at the headquarters of the Cabildo of Lanzarote.
In addition, on a provisional basis, the mediation and arbitration services of the SEMAC have been provided in the offices of the Canarian Employment Service on a provisional and exceptional basis to avoid the accumulation of files and delays in the resolution of pending cases.
The change of headquarters of the General Directorate of Labor in Lanzarote to the Casa del Mar building in Arrecife, was decided after verifying that the premises in which these services were provided did not meet the necessary conditions for it. Currently, the new headquarters has six offices, two offices and a reception.
