The exhibition "Futurible Present" by the students of the Pancho Lasso Art School, which has been on display at La Casa Amarilla del Cabildo since May 13 and until next September, will later travel to the Parliament of the Canary Islands.

This was agreed at a meeting that the president of the Cabildo, María Dolores Corujo, and the Minister of Education of the first island corporation, Myriam Barros, held this Tuesday with the president of the Regional Chamber, Gustavo Matos. The meeting, which was held at the parliamentary headquarters, on the island of Tenerife, was also attended by the director of the Pancho Lasso Art School, Manuel Perdomo, and the professor of the educational center and curator of the exhibition, Pepe Vera.

"Without a doubt, this is a magnificent opportunity to showcase local potential and talent," highlighted María Dolores Corujo, who thanked the president of the Parliament of the Canary Islands for his willingness to make this happen.

Likewise, Corujo stated "the firm intention of the Cabildo of Lanzarote to continue supporting the talent and creativity of our young people," as well as highlighted the "extraordinary work that the management and teaching team of the Pancho Lasso School carries out day after day."

"From the Education area of the Cabildo, and with the support of the president, we have been putting all our efforts into ensuring that the art of the students of Pancho Lasso crosses the borders of our island," said Councilor Myriam Barros, who expressed her satisfaction after the meeting held this Tuesday in the Parliament of the Canary Islands, also thanking the "absolute willingness and availability" shown by Gustavo Matos.

In principle, the exhibition "Futurible Present" is scheduled to be installed in the Parliament of the Canary Islands at the end of September, once its exhibition at La Casa Amarilla concludes. "Due to the characteristics of the Parliament hall, the entire exhibition cannot be moved, but a large part of it can," detailed the Minister of Education, who also pointed out that the young people of the Pancho Lasso School will be able to visit the Regional Chamber and learn about its operation.

"Futurible Present" is a project derived from the educational work carried out in several higher-level training cycles of the Pancho Lasso Art School, which brings together works from various artistic disciplines such as photography, design, illustration, comics, installation and audiovisual. An exhibition in which its young authors take us to a utopian world.

Currently, the exhibition can be visited at La Casa Amarilla del Cabildo de Lanzarote, from Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
