The first urban transport service in a non-capital municipality, that of Tías, is giving good results. The mayor of the municipality, José Juan Cruz, pointed out this Friday on the program "La Trastienda" on Lanzarote Televisión that it is estimated that during the first year of service, approximately 90,000 passengers will have benefited from this line.
"We are requesting reports to expand the service because at certain times of the day we are having problems at some stops, since not all passengers fit," says the mayor of the municipality.
The line, which was launched on May 2, is circular and has an extension of 33 kilometers, in which it travels through the main population centers of the municipality. It starts from Puerto del Carmen, and then picks up passengers in Tías center, Conil, Tegoyo, La Asomada and Macher.
"It is a correct and necessary measure, it should have been launched earlier, but it was not possible," says Cruz.
