The Haría City Council held a meeting this Tuesday, the 18th, with the island director of the State Administration of Lanzarote, Pedro Viera, with the aim of coordinating the necessary actions to guarantee the safety and smooth running of the carnival in the municipality, which will be held from Thursday the 20th to Sunday the 23rd of March.
The meeting was attended by the mayor of Haría, Alfredo Villalba; the island director of the State Administration, Pedro Viera; the captain of the Civil Guard; the head of the Local Police and traffic officers, who worked on planning the security measures.
The mayor of Haría, Alfredo Villalba, assured that "the carnival is one of the most anticipated festivals in the municipality and therefore seeks to guarantee the protection and enjoyment of residents and visitors." Likewise, the mayor thanked the security forces for their collaboration in ensuring that the festival takes place without incidents.
For his part, the island director of the State Administration of Lanzarote, Pedro Viera, stressed the commitment of the authorities in the organization of the event. "We are working with the City Council and the police force to establish an effective device that allows the smooth running of these festivals," he concluded.
The Municipal Council invites residents and visitors to enjoy the Carnival responsibly and respect the established rules to contribute to the enjoyment of everyone.
