The Cabildo of Lanzarote will open the Papagayo Camping Area, located in the Los Ajaches Natural Monument, from March 27 to April 5 on the occasion of Holy Week, after completing a set of improvement actions in the facilities.

The intervention, executed entirely by the Institution's own staff through the Internal Regime area, includes work on roofs, electrical improvements, installation of new solar batteries, reinforcement of access control, paint renovation, replacement of the annexed motor, and updating of signage.

The president of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Oswaldo Betancort, pointed out that “the opening of the Camping Area allows responding to a high demand for use on key dates, guaranteeing an ordered and regulated offer in a natural environment of special value”. In this regard, he highlighted that “the planning of the campaign has been carried out to facilitate access in adequate conditions and with all operational services”.

For his part, the councilor responsible for the Area, Samuel Martín, explained that “everything is already prepared for the opening, with the services, maintenance and surveillance device activated to ensure correct functioning throughout Holy Week.” In addition, he recalled that “the online reservation system allows organizing the occupancy and improving the user experience.”

Reservations can be formalized, starting this Friday, March 20, exclusively online through the official website acampadapapagayo.com, where users can check availability, select a plot using an interactive map, and make payment by bank card.
