The Cabildo of Lanzarote obtains a score of 8.8 in the Transparency Index of the Canary Islands

An evolution that has been reflected in the past 2021, comparing it with the 3.01 points achieved in 2016

The Cabildo of Lanzarote obtains a score of 8.8 in the Transparency Index of the Canary Islands, as reflected in the data collected in 2021. The Island institution started with an average score of 3.01, which it obtained in 2016, figures that have been increasing since that date.

In 2020, the Cabildo was at an average of 7.33 in transparency, its highest figure since 2016, with 1.47 less points than in 2021. In the following years, 2018 and 2019, the transparency figures for the institution have remained fairly linear, considering that the average score for 2018 and 2019 is the same, with 6.83. The figures do not vary much, except in 2017, which obtains less points with 4.52, with an increase of 4.28 points compared to 2021.

In addition, other public bodies in Lanzarote have also increased in transparency. The Water Consortium achieves a score of 10 points in 2021, a very notable increase compared to 0.51 it had in 2018, achieving 9.49 points more. In 2019 and 2020 it remained stable but with a small increase of 0.22 points considering that it had 9.33 in 2019 and 9.11 in 2020.

On the other hand, the Security and Emergency Consortium has also achieved 10 points in the past 2021. An entity that since 2018 has achieved a high score, with a score of 9.21. In 2019, it reached a score of 9.43, while in 2020 it achieved 9.87 points, 0.66 more than in 2018.

The Art, Culture and Tourism Centers of Lanzarote achieved a score of 9.32 in the past 2021. A decrease compared to 2020, the year in which it achieved 10 points. Although with a notable improvement and increase in the score compared to 2018, in which it achieved 5.30. In 2019, its score also increased with 9.49.

The Insular Water Council of Lanzarote does not pass

Finally, the Insular Water Council of Lanzarote has also shown an increase in 2021 with a transparency score of 4.87, compared to the one it achieved in 2018, with a score of 2.33. Although the past 2021 highlighted a decrease compared to the year 2019, in which it had 7.15 points. Although it has become one of the eight entities in the island sector that did not pass the ITCanarias 2021.

Regarding the rest of the Canary Islands, according to the data, the island entities of El Hierro, La Gomera, La Palma and Tenerife remain above 9 points. However, the public sector dependent on the Cabildo of Fuerteventura continues to be the one that obtains the lowest average, with 6.86 in the last evaluation.
