The Cabildo of Lanzarote informs of the closure of all clean points on the island this Saturday, December 13, from 2:00 PM, as a preventive measure due to the declared weather alert.
Thus, the Insular Network of Clean Points is made up of five selective collection centers located in Arrecife, Costa Teguise (Teguise), Playa Blanca (Yaiza), Playa Honda (San Bartolomé), and Puerto del Carmen (Tías) will remain closed until weather conditions improve.
The counselor for the Waste Area of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Domingo Cejas, has explained that "the decision has been made following the recommendations of the emergency services, prioritizing at all times the safety of both workers and users of the recycling centers." He also added that "we ask for the understanding and collaboration of the citizens, avoiding unnecessary travel and planning the use of these facilities for morning hours."
The Cabildo reminds that, as a general rule, the recycling points operate from Monday to Saturday, from 08:00 to 18:00, and on Sundays and holidays, from 09:00 to 14:00, and recommends that the public stay informed through official channels in case of any new updates.
