The Cabildo of Lanzarote hosted this Tuesday the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Foreign Promotion Society, where the body decided on the winners of the Isla de Lanzarote 2022 Award and the Distinguished Tourism Awards, awarding the first of them to the César Manrique Foundation.
The president and Tourism Councilor of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, points out that this is a distinguished "that rewards the effort made by the entities to continue offering attention to tourists and to maintain the quality of the destination." "With them it is intended to promote and encourage individual and collective behaviors, aimed at providing a better image of Lanzarote," explains Corujo.
The Board of Directors decided to unanimously award the Isla de Lanzarote 2022 Award to the César Manrique Foundation and also debated the proposals for the different categories in the Distinguished Tourism Awards. In the company category, the winner will be Kamezi Boutique Villas, in the event category the winner will be the crossfit event "Lanzarote Summer Challenge", while in the personality category it will be awarded posthumously to Timothy C. Evan Jones, surf school pioneer who died last April.
In addition, three special mentions will be collected for the Hotel Emblemático Casa de los Naranjos, the Tienda de Lourdes and the Quesería Montaña Blanca.
