The burst of a pipe in the Titerroy neighborhood could have affected "50 percent of the homes in Arrecife" according to reports from Inalsa, which says its technicians have been working since Wednesday morning to repair the fault and restore the supply.

According to reports from the public water company, "the fault is located at the intersection of José Pereira Galviati and Tilama streets, next to a well in the sewage system, which makes operations difficult." In addition, the affected pipe is the one that carries water from the general reservoirs to Maneje, so almost half of the residents of the capital would have been affected.

Inalsa engineers, who have coordinated in the repair work with technicians from the company Aguas Filtradas, expect that the service will be restored by early Wednesday night.
