The Villa de Teguise hosted the first meeting of the Municipal School Council, in which the educational community discussed different issues that affect the network of schools in the municipality and conveyed to the municipal representatives the sensations and needs of a start of the course marked by the pandemic.

The mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort, congratulated the attendees "because despite how complicated it was to start the new school season marked by the pandemic, they have managed to apply the anti-Covid measures and develop the teaching work without neglecting the care, protection and special attention towards the students, who have also shown that they know how to adapt to the new rules of coexistence."

Oswaldo Betancort and the head of the Education area, Javier Díaz, took note of the demands of the educational community of Teguise, also made up of the AMPAs. In this regard, the Council states that although a "positive assessment" was made of the first months, they already have their sights set on the future of next year, and in this sense, the first lines that will define the 2021 Educational Project were proposed.

"From the City Council we continue to address the claims of the community, especially in regards to sanitary material, so we have proceeded to deliver 3 thousand new masks to the AMPAs so that they can distribute them according to the needs of the families," added Javier Díaz.
