The Teguise City Council has delivered a new defibrillator to the board of the Tahíche Sports Club, which now has an essential tool to save lives in case of emergencies. "Placing defibrillators in public spaces in Teguise is a necessary initiative to turn the municipality into a cardioprotected place and at the same time generate a culture of prevention of cardiovascular emergencies that will improve the quality of life of the inhabitants, who will have access to a very simple and intuitive defibrillator in soccer fields, sports courts, gyms, leisure and culture centers," they point out from the Consistory.

"The Samaritan PAD 350P semi-automatic defibrillator is designed to offer simple use to anyone who witnesses the fainting of a person outside of hospital environments, due to cardiorespiratory arrest or sudden death syndrome," explained the distributor of the company LNZmedical, Pablo Álvarez.

"Once the electrodes are placed on the chest of the victim of a cardiorespiratory arrest, the device will perform the entire resuscitation process automatically, except for the release of the electric shock, in which the rescuer must intervene, as long as the defibrillator detects that the victim's ailment is defibrillable."

In addition, one of the main characteristics is the integration of WI-FI connectivity in the external defibrillator itself, which facilitates and speeds up the transfer of data recorded in the device before its use in a real case.
