The Teguise City Council has opened the call for aptitude tests that allow obtaining the municipal license for taxi drivers. This exam will take place on June 6, at 10:00 a.m. in the municipal offices of the Local Police.
The mayor, Olivia Duque, emphasizes the importance of taking advantage of this opportunity to ensure an optimal regularization of this service “so necessary for citizens”. “From the council, we continue working to guarantee and improve public transport in the municipality,” she emphasizes.
For his part, the councilor responsible for the Taxi Area, Javier Díaz, points out that knowledge about the municipal area, places of tourist and cultural interest, public offices, official centers, hotels, cultural centers, hospital centers, and the most direct routes to reach the destination will be evaluated above all.
Those interested in participating in this aptitude test will have a period of 15 business days from this Tuesday, April 22, to submit applications through the website of the City Council.
Requirements
Those who apply for this call must meet the required conditions, such as a driver's license for cars of a class equal to or higher than that required by the General Directorate of Traffic; know the main public roads and places of tourist and cultural interest in the town, as well as not suffer from "any infectious-contagious disease or physical defect", according to the council.
