The Teguise City Council has put out to tender the renovation of the Guatiza playground, with a budget of 360,037 euros through the cooperation plans of the Cabildo de Lanzarote. This action will allow the area to be equipped with a completely renovated space, with new play elements, adaptation to accessibility regulations, shade areas and the integral replacement of the pavement, eliminating the current sandy surface.

The mayor Olivia Duque highlights that "we continue working to improve the public spaces of the municipality, offering safe and modern infrastructures for the enjoyment of our neighbors, especially the little ones." "This investment in Guatiza is the first step of a broader plan to renovate the playgrounds of Teguise," she emphasizes.

For his part, the councilor of Public Works and Playgrounds, Eugenio Robayna, points out that "after this intervention in Guatiza, the next step will be the bidding for the renovation of the playground in the historic center of Teguise." In addition, he adds that "thanks to the Employment Plan of the City Council, we have personnel dedicated to the maintenance and conservation of the playgrounds of the municipality, guaranteeing their good condition until the execution of these improvements."

Interested persons or entities may submit their offers from 25 days from the date of submission, through the Public Sector Contracting Platform.

With this initiative, "the Teguise City Council supports the renovation and improvement of public spaces, betting on accessible, safe and adapted infrastructures to the needs of the citizens".
