The Teguise City Council has acquired two new motorcycles for the Local Police. These are two Lemev Stream scooters, whose main characteristic is that they run on an electric charging battery, so they are not only "an effective tool in terms of accessibility, but also environmentally friendly as they do not pollute with fumes or noise, because they are completely silent",
The mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort, and the police councilor, Miguel Ángel Jiménez, have presented and tested these new motorcycles, which are already used by agents to cover areas of the promenade and the pedestrian avenue of Costa Teguise, as well as part of the residential area.
The electric motorcycles, whose characteristics adapt "perfectly to the needs of Costa Teguise", can reach 110 kilometers per hour and have an acceleration speed of 0 to 80 kilometers per hour in 6 seconds.

It is worth noting their low consumption, which is 0.5 euros per 100 kilometers, and the ease of recharging, as they only need to be plugged in for 2 and a half hours, and their range is between 65 and 97 kilometers. In addition, the battery life cycle is 10 years or 80,000 kilometers
The mayor has pointed out that the municipality "will continue to improve its resources to ensure security", especially in the tourist center, where the next investment will be in security cameras "in hot spots". There will also be new motorized vehicles for the historic center of La Villa.
