The president of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, asked this Monday, March 8, to raise her voice to continue fighting gender inequality, during an event held with the singer Drágana, to present the campaign launched by the island corporation on the occasion of International Women's Day.
Under the title 'Our great duty', the Cabildo de Lanzarote and the singer from Conejera have collaborated in the edition of a 43-second audiovisual piece in which women are encouraged to continue defending their rights and where, in addition to the singer, the president of the corporation also intervenes, who closes the video with the message that "the fight is not over."
Dolores Corujo thanked "the artist's involvement in continuing to claim women's rights, especially during this difficult stage, in which the pandemic has in many cases meant a setback for women's freedoms and rights."

Drágana Balde Brito is a singer from Lanzarote, committed to social causes, with a father from Guinea-Bissau and a mother from Conejera, who has achieved repercussion both inside and outside the island with several songs related to the fight against racism and xenophobia. "I want to reflect in my music everything that means raising your voice for a right that benefits us all", says the singer.
Before entering the world of music, Drágana had been a professional basketball player for teams such as Gran Canaria or Torrelodones in Madrid, participating in the Canary Islands and Spanish National Teams.

Currently, she is pursuing studies to improve her French, as well as to be a Pharmacy assistant, but without neglecting music. The singer anticipates that, during the next summer, several new singles will be released with which she will continue her career in the artistic world.
