The general secretary of Coalición Canaria in Lanzarote and La Graciosa, Pedro San Ginés, formally invites the top leaders of political parties with parliamentary representation to hold a public debate, open to citizens, on the current situation and the future of the Insular Hospital.
San Ginés considers that "the uncertainty generated around the management, planning, and care model of the Insular Hospital and geriatrics in Lanzarote, demands clear explanations and a public contrast of positions, proposals, and responsible assumption of the decisions adopted by one and all". In this regard, he proposes an open debate, in a public space, with the presence of the media and whose celebration and content "are duly disseminated for the knowledge of the entire population".
“The Insular Hospital should not be the subject of political manipulation. We are talking about a fundamental health resource for Lanzarote and La Graciosa, but there are those who have set out to misinform about it and the concern of professionals and citizens is understandable, which is why public debate is necessary,” points out San Ginés.
Likewise, the nationalist leader has announced his "full willingness to attend an assembly with all the workers of the Insular Hospital, without exclusions, in order to directly hear their concerns and answer as many questions as they deem appropriate about the present and future of the center".
Pedro San Ginés hopes that those who "advocate so much for transparency and are so sure of having acted correctly, have the honesty and courage necessary to accept this public debate".
