With great solemnity and a notable participation of faithful and neighbors, the Catholic community of the municipality of Tías celebrated the feast of San Antonio de Padua, much loved by the inhabitants of the southern town.

At 6:00 PM, the Eucharist began, presided over by the titular parish priest, Leonardo Graterol. The attendees wanted to accompany this significant religious celebration on such a special day for the people of Tías.

The musical part was in charge of the Coral Marina de Puerto del Carmen, directed by Professor Miguel Ángel Cabrera, whose songs contributed to enhancing the solemnity of the liturgical act. Numerous parishioners also joined the choir's voices, creating an atmosphere of deep devotion and recollection.

After the Holy Mass, the traditional procession with the image of San Antonio de Padua took place, which toured the Central Avenue of the town. The procession was led by the Banda de Música La Unión Musical de Lanzarote, directed by Professor Pepe Artiles, followed by the image of the saint, the celebrating priest, the authorities present, and numerous faithful who participated with fervor in the processional route.

The procession concluded in the square located in front of the church, where the members of the Agrupación Folclórica Gaida de Tías, directed by folklorist Emilio Fernández, were waiting. The group offered an emotional offering to the saint through a careful display of traditional Lanzarote folklore, a performance that was widely recognized with the warm applause of the attending public.

The festive day ended with one of the most deeply rooted traditions in the town of Tías: the tasting of a piece of bread with chocolate inside, a simple but endearing custom whose elaboration and preparation were carried out by the neighbors themselves. This gesture of coexistence and fraternity allowed for sharing a pleasant moment in community with San Antonio de Padua, thus putting the finishing touch to festivities characterized by participation, devotion, and the spirit of unity among all attendees.
