Saborea Lanzarote is present for the sixth consecutive year at Madrid Fusión, one of the most renowned gastronomic fairs internationally and where since this Monday you have been able to taste exquisite local preparations such as artisan cheeses, Lanzarote Designation of Origin wines, mojos, gofio, vermouths or sweet products such as jams and marmalades.

According to the Cabildo, one of the highlights of the event took place this Tuesday on the Tapas Route, in which, through a tour of the so-called Saborea España Avenue, you could enjoy a 'Octopus stew from the Marine Reserve, dryland chickpeas and sweet potatoes from jable' by Pedro Santana from the Casa Brígida Restaurant; 'Goat rib with island cheese reduction and hazelnut and curry cous cous' by the executive chef of the La Cascada Group, Germán Blanco; and a 'Snack of sancocho of tollos jareados, sweet potato, gofio and its mojos' by the executive chef of the Hotel Seaside los Jameos Playa, Vicente Félix Rodríguez.
Another of the spaces where Lanzarote's gastronomy has had special prominence has been in the Makro Bar, reserved for cold cuisine, and where this Tuesday the pairing workshop 'The flavors of Lanzarote. Lanzarote Vermouth, Uga Salmon and marine escabeche of coastal limpets' by Daivde Musci, from Vermut Primo de Lanzarote.

In the afternoon, the Malvasía Volcánica wines and the cheeses of the masters of the Association of Artisan Cheese Factories of Lanzarote (AQUAL) José Domingo Rodríguez, Roberto González and Carlos Castro will gain relevance in this same space, who will repeat their presence at the Makro Bar after their intervention this Monday together with the producer of the artisan beer NAO, Miguel Lasso. Attendees at the fair will also be able to taste gin made on the island this Tuesday afternoon.
Visit of the Secretary of State for Tourism
Madrid Fusión has about thirty Lanzarote professionals from the primary, hotel and island public administration sectors, who "will acquire valuable experience that will contribute to the specialization of the destination", according to the Councilor for Economic Promotion of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Ángel Vázquez (PP), who heads the Saborea Lanzarote delegation, whose stand received a visit this Tuesday from the Secretary of State for Tourism, Isabel Oliver.

THIS Wednesday, Saborea Lanzarote will be present for the first time in the main auditorium of Madrid Fusión through the presentation 'Flavor of Lanzarote, the hidden treasure' by the chef of the Isla de Lobos Restaurant, Víctor Bossecker, and the veterinarian of Finca de Uga, Arminda García, who will discuss and expose "the gastronomic attributes that Lanzarote brings together and that highlight the sustainability, care of the territory and the unique landscape that characterize the island".
