The City Council of Arrecife has awarded the works to resurface nearly one hundred streets in different neighborhoods of the capital of Lanzarote. With this new award, the first of the paving plan in this new term, the renovation of the pavement in the streets of the neighborhoods of San Francisco Javier, Las Salinas, Argana Baja, the north zone of Altavista, and several roads in La Destilla will be allowed.
The works will begin in the first weeks of next 2024 and must be completed next summer. The tender, to which three companies submitted, was awarded for nearly 3.7 million euros from municipal resources.
Yonathan de León has highlighted that they are moving forward with the modernization plans focusing on the neighborhoods of the capital of Lanzarote. The mayor, who is also the head of the Public Works Area in the City Council, has announced that new plans and resurfacing phases will be added to these already awarded works, whose projects are being processed so that the roads in the other neighborhoods that make up the capital municipality can be resurfaced.
The Public Sector Contracting Platform inserts the announcement of the Mayor's Office of Arrecife where the award of this contract is reported, to which three companies competed. The tender was called on August 18, and the award was published this past November 9. Now the process of signing the contract with the winning company of these works is underway.
According to the award announcement, the proposed company is Herederos de Juan Acuña, S.L, for 3,566,607.7 euros, including taxes. Among the award criteria, the best economic proposal, the stability in the employment of the workers who will execute the works, and the execution period of the same have been established.
With this award, the City Council of Arrecife continues with its powerful resurfacing plans, the largest by investment in the history of the municipality.
The company awarded these works, tendered under the name of "ARRECIFE PAVING PLAN, PHASE II", must also execute accessibility works on the sidewalks of those roads, according to the situation and the drafted project, as well as the horizontal and vertical signage of the resurfaced roads.
