Residents of Peru Street complain that the City Council is widening the sidewalks without leaving parking spaces

The residents of Perú Street, in La Vega, have submitted a letter to the Arrecife City Council, in which they express their disagreement with the works of the Neighborhood Plan. According to them, the sidewalks are being widened, leading to "there are no areas where residents can park".

In this area, they explain, most of the houses do not have a garage space and many elderly people live there, so, in their opinion, the lack of parking would make it difficult for these people to access their homes.

Likewise, they point out in the letter, it would hinder the entry of shopping and other services such as the parking of ambulances or people who assist at home, as well as the children who visit the elderly. "What do they do? Stop and slow down the traffic?, asks Lina Cedrés, a resident of this street.

Therefore, the residents of Perú Street have submitted a letter to the City Council, in which they request that the Neighborhood Plan be reviewed on this street, considering parking areas.
