Puerto del Carmen reopens the showers and bathrooms of its beaches

The City Council has established a cleaning service every 2 hours, following the recommendations against Covid-19

The City Council of Tías has reopened since this Wednesday the bathroom, footwash and shower services of the beaches of Puerto del Carmen, which had been closed since the beginning of the pandemic.

The opening hours will be from Monday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and in the months of July, August and September from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; having a cleaning frequency every 2 hours, complying with public health recommendations.

"We are aware of the need that existed among the few users of the beaches that we have had this last year as a result of the pandemic, but it was a decision that we were forced to make to avoid the spread of the virus, and as the light begins to be seen at the end of the tunnel, we are gradually resuming services", said the Councilor for Tourism and Beaches and first Deputy Mayor of the municipality, Mame Fernández, who has visited the beaches of Matagorda, Jameos Playa and Playa Grande on the occasion of this reopening.
