President Pedro Sánchez arrived this Wednesday in Lanzarote to begin his summer vacation. In addition, he plans to take advantage of his stay in the Canary Islands to travel to La Palma, to check how the reconstruction of the volcano's damage is progressing.
As in previous years, Pedro Sánchez and his family will be staying in Costa Teguise, in the La Mareta residence, built in the seventies for Hussein of Jordan. He later gave it to King Juan Carlos I and it currently belongs to the National Heritage.
During his rest period, the President of the Government plans to hold some meetings with the authorities of the Canary Islands and the Cabildo of Lanzarote, as he has done on other occasions.

At the moment, it is not known how long Pedro Sánchez will remain in Costa Teguise. It is public knowledge that the Government will resume its full activity on August 23, when the first Council of Ministers will be held in Madrid after the summer break.
