Marcos Hernández highlights the Government's work to accelerate the regeneration of the beaches

The Senate's Environment, Agriculture and Fisheries Committee has approved a transactional amendment, presented to an original motion by the popular group, which establishes urging the Government, in collaboration with the Government of the Canary Islands, to quickly manage the regeneration of the beaches of Lanzarote with jable from underwater quarries or any other source, as soon as the favorable environmental impact statement is obtained.

The socialist senator for Lanzarote, Marcos Hernández, has highlighted the work of the Government in order to reach a consensus with the parliamentary groups and the competent administrations to accelerate the process of beach regeneration.

Hernández has referred to "the obstacles" that the Government of the Canary Islands has put in place when addressing these projects and has stated that "it has promised to undertake this type of work, but the reality is that its contribution has been rather scarce, drafting negative reports in this regard and putting obstacles, after all, to the process of beach regeneration".

In this sense, the socialist parliamentarian has highlighted the work of the central Executive in the recovery of these spaces and has recalled the work carried out with Playa Flamingo, in which a total of three million euros were invested.
