The Yaiza pact table still does not have a definite date for its convocation. This was reported by the mayor of the municipality, Óscar Noda, who indicated that he has "no problem" in holding it if its objective is to "move Yaiza forward".
The first mayor and member of Unidos Por Yaiza (UPY) has acknowledged in an interview on Radio Lanzarote-Onda Cero that everything points to what Coalición Canaria (CC) is looking for with this action is a break, "and it is legitimate for them to do so, but they should not make it seem that it is our fault and that we have not let them work, because they have worked as much as they wanted".
"A lot of demands" from CC
Noda has indicated that since he received the request for the formation of the table, he tried to respond as soon as possible: "I replied on December 30 and proposed to look for a date for the following week." However, the death of the municipal chronicler delayed the process.
"I have even proposed to celebrate it today, but they have not responded to me," the mayor reports.
Regarding this situation, he indicates that he notices "a lot of demands now", unlike the moment in which CC proposed to make a motion of censure "that although I knew that it had no reason to be, I did not ask for any follow-up table or anything, because I was focused on issues that truly matter to the residents".
Regarding the controversy of the telephone bill, Noda has pointed out that Emilio Machín was referred to the registry he requested, and that "when the administration can, because in the final stretch of the year it has had other more important priorities for the municipality, the rest, corresponding to the entire legislature, will be sent to him".
In May, focused on Yaiza
Looking ahead to the elections in May, the current leader of Yaiza indicates that his priority and that of his party is the town: "We are focused on it, we will see what happens later".
In addition to being immersed in Yaiza, Noda is also open to listening to any formation, "even CC".
With the philosophy of "moving the municipality forward" as a banner, he also does not close the door to groups that are not nationalists: "Nothing happens by listening to us," he says.
The Port of Playa Blanca will be inaugurated this Friday
On the other hand, Noda has concluded by reporting that, before the legislature ends, two infrastructure projects will be released: the port and the Playa Blanca pavilion.
"Yesterday I was given the formal invitation dated for this Friday, the 13th, for the official inauguration of the Port of Playa Blanca," he has advanced.
For its part, the sports space is almost ready, "lacking the exteriors, the parquet and finishing introducing the therapeutic games in the pool", so he expects that it can be completed before May.
