UPY announces that it will attend the meeting of the government pact table in Yaiza requested by Coalición Canaria but warns that "it will only talk about the problems that are really important for the residents of Yaiza, and not about the political tricks to which CC seems to have returned in the southern municipality".
For the spokesperson of the local formation, Daniel Medina, "it is still surprising that practically at the same time that the convocation of that table is formally requested, a press release is sent to the media, dropping alleged breaches and grievances to that political formation".
"This demonstrates the true interest of Coalición Canaria, which is none other than to show its worst version and put a spoke in the wheels of a government that to date has functioned with absolute normality and that has given such good results to the municipality of Yaiza," adds Medina.
Daniel Medina points out that "in any case, the explanations should be given by Coalición Canaria for the attempted motion of censure just nine months ago, or for the solo appearances of some of its regional deputies claiming issues of the municipality itself outside the City Council, with the sole aim of making electoralism out of the problems of the residents of Yaiza, with whom they have never met." "Aggravation can also be the witch hunt undertaken by the candidate of Coalición Canaria for the Mayor of Yaiza, who has done nothing but contribute to tension, destructive criticism, and who carries in his backpack the dubious honor of his three years in the municipal government without contributing absolutely anything," Medina concludes.
For Unidos por Yaiza, the procedure by the City Council government "has always been correct and demonstrates that Coalición Canaria is lying once again when it justifies that the documentation has not been delivered to the files they have requested, as they know perfectly well that as required by law it will always be delivered within five days of the request and in no case has that legal precept been violated".
Finally, Medina has also had words of "gratitude, encouragement and support to the councilors of Coalición Canaria, Ángel Domínguez and Fatima Viñoly, who have been developing an intense work and providing stability to the municipal government, and who do not understand now how their own party colleagues are trying to put a spoke in the wheels of the government".
