The Local Committee of Nueva Canarias in Teguise has begun its journey as part of the opposition "to the conservative government group" that includes Coalición Canaria and the Partido Popular, with the support of Vox. In this way, the Canarian councilor Fernando Jiménez will present this Wednesday during the ordinary plenary session two proposals that have been sent to him by different citizens of the towns of Costa Teguise and La Villa

On the one hand, the government group is proposed to improve access to the Instituto de La Villa de Teguise with the implementation of a roundabout at the entrance and exit crossing to the educational site.

Similarly, they also propose the creation and adaptation of a parking lot with lighting and access for People with Reduced Mobility that facilitates entry to the Instituto de La Villa.

“The traffic congestion that occurs during peak hours makes a solution by the City Council a priority. We believe that it can be remedied with a roundabout that improves circulation and avoids frequent traffic incidents,” says Jimenez, who in the same way argues that “there are people with reduced mobility who do not have universal access.”

Disinfection plan in Costa Teguise

The other proposal from the Canarians has to do with cleanliness and health in the town of Costa Teguise. They demand that the City Council report on the state of sanitation of the common areas; and they demand a disinfection program for public areas constantly and frequently.

Fernando Jiménez proposes a treatment that “starts at the end of May; the next in June; and the last in July.”
