The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, has taken stock of the current year 2022 for the island, a time in which, in her opinion, "record economic data have been reached, as never before" and "lost time" has been recovered after the health emergency, highlighting the region's achievement of having "diversified tourism".
Likewise, in an interview on Radio Lanzarote-Onda Cero, Corujo pointed out that "qualitative leaps in other matters" have also been achieved, and for the remainder of the term in 2023, the entity she directs will continue "launching policies to maintain this reactivation in all areas."
The island official highlighted the progress in public services made during this last year, citing the work of "asphalting and improvement of parks and gardens" both in the capital and in the other municipalities of Lanzarote.
In this line, she also recalled the health management carried out during the pandemic, which has shown that "the island has a good health system", which during this year has also allowed to continue with the inoculation of vaccines against covid-19. In addition, Corujo has set as a pending issue for the new year to continue giving "mental health the priority it deserves", a topic that, in her opinion, needs to be addressed.
