The Cabildo of Lanzarote, through the Area of Economic Promotion and the Saborea Lanzarote brand, strengthens its presence at Madrid Fusión 2025, which starts this Monday, January 27th, increasing its programming and its proposal of culinary events.

After the success of the Saborea Lanzarote Enogastronomic Festival, held last November in Teguise, the next important event will be at the international gastronomy summit, Madrid Fusión '25, where Lanzarote will be present with the island's first Michelin Star, the Kamezí restaurant, and with fifteen renowned chefs and producers.

The president of the Cabildo and head of Economic Promotion, Oswaldo Betancort, highlights that "Lanzarote is experiencing a historic moment in the field of enogastronomy. The first Michelin Star, together with the consolidation of events such as Madrid Fusión, positions us as an international culinary reference, showing the world our landscape and cultural richness through the flavors of the Island."

For Oswaldo Betancort, "our gastronomy would not be what it is without the excellence of our local products, which are the soul of Lanzarote and Graciosa cuisine. These products not only represent our identity, but also the effort of farmers, winemakers and artisans who work every day to keep our essence alive." "At Madrid Fusión," adds the president, "we show the world not only the quality of our products, but also our history, our culture and our commitment to sustainability."

Extensive programming and own stand

In addition to its usual presence in the Saborea España space, with its own stand, Saborea Lanzarote will join all the culinary activities that will take place in the Multipurpose Classroom and the Gastronomic Classroom, scenarios located within Saborea España. In addition, this year Lanzarote will have, for the first time, an Experiential Space in Wine Edition with an attractive stand where attendees can immerse themselves in the knowledge of the wines of seven wineries on the Island present, in a "wine tunnel" format that will allow a thorough assessment of the volcanic Lanzarote varietals.

In the Wine Classroom of Saborea España, Lanzarote will celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the El Grifo winery, the oldest in the Canary Islands and one of the 10 most historic in Spain, as well as other tastings during the following days that Madrid Fusión lasts.

Among other novelties, Saborea Lanzarote will organize on Monday, January 27th on the stage of the 360º Hub a great gastronomic workshop called The cuisine of ingenuity, the landscape of Lanzarote on the plate, with chefs as recognized as Jon Pérez (Nakai), Santi Falcón (Hotel César), Daniel Jiménez (La Tegala), Vicente Rodríguez (Hotel Seaside Los Jameos), Jonay Perdomo (Casa Carlos), Gonzalo Calzadilla (Isla de Lobos) and Adelia Ramírez (Adelia Canarias).

In this same space, on Tuesday the 28th, Saborea Lanzarote will celebrate with the entire sector the first Michelin Star of the Island, which chef Rubén Cuesta from the Kamezí restaurant obtained in the last gala, offering a gastronomic workshop replicating the award-winning tasting menu of the restaurant.
