The Haría City Council, through the Department of Tourism and Equality, has formalized its adhesion to the Spanish Network of Destinations for Diversity (REDD), a national platform that leads the promotion of inclusive and sustainable tourism in Spain, with a special focus on the LGTBIQ+ community.

The mayor of Haría, Alfredo Villalba, highlighted that "this adhesion allows the municipality to advance towards a tourism that reinforces the identity of the municipality as a welcoming, safe and modern destination, valuing diversity as an engine of development and coexistence."

For her part, the Councilor for Tourism and Equality, Nuria Acuña, pointed out that "this initiative makes the LGTBIQ+ community visible and facilitates working hand in hand with companies, institutions and communities committed to real change." "The road does not end here, now it is time to involve the local business fabric, hotels, shops and small businesses to build together a more egalitarian and integrating destination," concluded the councilor.

REDD promotes the creation of safe, open and accessible spaces, betting on training, digitization and the development of modern tourism policies. Thanks to its digital platform, it connects tourists with destinations committed to diversity and promotes the visibility of authentic experiences, cultural events and proposals that celebrate plurality.
