The president of the Cabildo, María Dolores Corujo, has held a meeting with the councilors of Podemos in the first island institution in search of an agreement that provides political stability to the Cabildo of Lanzarote.
Corujo shared with the councilors of the purple formation the need to give stability to the island government at a time when the action of the administrations is fundamental.
"It is time to focus all our efforts on ensuring that Lanzarote does not detach itself from the opportunity represented by the recovery funds," said Corujo, who positively valued Podemos' willingness to reach an agreement that allows maintaining stability without affecting the government's action.
"We have agreed with the councilors of Podemos that the negotiation process will be carried out directly by the teams appointed by both parties, as the agreement we may reach must be endorsed by both organizations with full respect for their decision-making mechanisms."
Corujo concluded by expressing her confidence that the high-mindedness of both parties will ensure that the Cabildo of Lanzarote maintains stability despite the irresponsible attitude of the Popular Party.
