The president of the Gestora of the Popular Party in Lanzarote, María Dolores Luzardo, has responded to [the accusations that the socialists have made->5715] about her political group in a press release signed by her Secretary of Communication, Miguel Gónzalez.
In this note, the Socialist Party calls the various corruption scandals unleashed in relation to the wind farm plot and the alleged bribery attempt by Domingo González Arroyo, former mayor of La Oliva, to a councilor of Antigua, in Lanzarote, "indecent and nauseating". Following statements by this councilor, the socialists believe that some popular representative from Lanzarote may be involved in this case.
María Dolores Luzardo has lashed out against the Socialist Party, claiming that what they are doing is taking advantage of these particular situations that are happening. "If the PSC has any information or indications that incriminate any member of the Popular Party, I invite them to present them to the prosecutor's office or courts so that they can make them public," said the popular councilor of Arrecife.
In addition, she continued commenting that her political group is very interested in resolving these situations and that all those people who have committed a fault should be brought to justice. "The Popular Party will collaborate to clarify any type of doubt or suspicion about the attitude of our group," said Luzardo.
The President of the Popular Management Team believes that this type of accusation will not undermine the credibility of the Popular Party nor will it question the way in which the populars work in the institutions, since these are specific acts of alleged corruption that affect people with names and surnames.
