The PSOE of Lanzarote celebrates the launch of the new Court of First Instance, number 6 in Arrecife, "a fundamental improvement for the judicial system on the island, the result of the work of the Government of Spain and the impulse of socialist leaders at different levels."

The general secretary of the PSOE of Lanzarote and deputy in Congress, María Dolores Corujo, has highlighted "the importance of this new infrastructure" and highlighted the role of the senator for Lanzarote, the socialist Manuel Fajardo Palarea in achieving it.

"I had been insisting for some time on the need to strengthen justice in Lanzarote, and today we can say that the work has paid off. The creation of this court is not accidental, but the result of the work of the Government of Spain, with Antonio Rodríguez and Pilar Llop at the head of the Ministry of Justice, the Minister of Justice of the Government of the Canary Islands and the efforts of our senator for Lanzarote, Manuel Fajardo Palarea before the CGPJ”, he declared.

The new court, which will operate until the end of March in a provisional location until the body is present in its final location, on the top floor of the Palace of Justice, will decongest judicial procedures on the island, responding to a historical demand from citizens and the judicial sector itself.

“The dean of the judges in Arrecife had already raised it, and from the PSOE we have worked to make this need a reality. Lanzarote will have fully operational facilities in February, which will undoubtedly help to speed up procedures and improve citizen care”, added Corujo.

From the PSOE of Lanzarote they remember that "this is one more example of the socialist commitment to public services and the real needs of the island".
