The first political reaction to the [Felapyme press conference this Wednesday->13047] was not long in coming, in which its president, Alfredo Villalba, stated that the future Argana shopping center is "absolutely illegal" and could endanger the access of ambulances to the General Hospital. This Thursday, Coalición Canaria in Arrecife has issued a statement in which it states that it will study the possibility of taking the documentation relating to the construction of Argana Centro, owned by the president of the Chamber of Commerce, Eduardo Spínola, to the Prosecutor's Office.

The nationalist formation demands that the current Government Group of the Arrecife City Council ensure access to the only hospital on the island with an emergency service, as well as guarantee the fluidity of traffic at the entrance to the neighborhoods of Argana Alta, Argana Baja and Maneje, as well as circulation on the ring road.

Coalición Canaria also considers that despite the fact that Felapyme has shown the documents of the file regarding the construction of Argana Centro, which "to date corroborate the version that this construction is illegal", the nationalists point out, the mayor of Arrecife, Enrique Pérez Parrilla, and the councilor of Urban Planning Antonio Hernández "continue to argue that for them everything is correct".

Therefore, the CC councilors demand that the Arrecife City Council enforce the law on Cadena Spínola "as on the rest of the population", in addition to requesting that the permits that the promoters have be made public so that the mayor and the deputy mayor of the municipality of Arrecife "are so sure that Cadena Spínola has the necessary authorizations, forgetting the existence of a hospital, and the entrance to two neighborhoods of the capital".
