Coalición Canaria wants a reward if the Immigrant Internment Center is finally built on land owned by the Cabildo, which is located in the municipality of Arrecife, as announced this Tuesday by the socialist candidate for Congress, Miguel González. For this reason, it will submit a motion to the capital's plenary session in which they request the handover of the Barracks in exchange.
This Tuesday, the PSOE's communication secretary assured that the First Institution is willing to cede plots of land located near the Cabildo's Experimental Farm and the Zonzamas Day Center, which belong to the municipality of Arrecife. Due to this location, CC believes that the decision should be debated and voted on in the plenary session of the City Council.
In addition, they criticize that González has proposed this proposal unilaterally, without consulting the rest of the political forces, and that it is intended to be carried out without any type of compensation. They consider, therefore, that if it is built in this municipality, the City Council must be compensated with the handover of the Infantry Barracks, whose ownership they have been claiming for years.
