Coalición Canaria Lanzarote premiered its new facilities this week, located in the capital city of Titerroy, with the organization of training days aimed at affiliates and supporters and the celebration of meetings and gatherings with various neighborhood, social, business, etc. groups and associations, which have at their disposal both the headquarters and its material, as well as CC as a tool in the different administrations.
The sessions kicked off on Monday, September 20 with the celebration of the first island Political Council after the constitution of all the local committees, and which was also the first of a face-to-face nature since the first health alert was declared due to Covid-19 in March 2020, and closed this Friday with a golden touch, with the presence of the former president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote and former councilor of the Government of the Canary Islands, Inés Rojas, who through her book “Sin género de duda. Diccionario expresionario” (Without a doubt. Expressionary Dictionary), carried out a novel exercise on how to adequately use inclusive language.
Although the initially planned agenda has had to be modified due to the tragic situation that the volcanic eruptions are generating on the island of La Palma, the scheduled activities will resume as soon as possible.
In this regard, the island secretary, Migdalia Machín, recalled that “we are eight islands, each with its own needs, but at this time the one that needs our support and that of all the Canary Islands the most is La Palma. That is where the National Executive of our political organization should be and is at this time, just as it has been in Lanzarote in crucial moments for our island.”
Likewise, Machín encouraged those who participated in that first Political Council, stating: “Our objective is the same as always: to work for and for Lanzarote and La Graciosa, and for this we want to count on all the people who want to add and contribute to the Coalición Canaria project. Our doors are open to constructive proposals and initiatives that revert to the well-being of all citizens and I am convinced that the location of our new headquarters is perfect to have much more direct contact with those who wish to know our political project.”
For his part, the Secretary of Organization of CC Lanzarote, Echedey Eugenio, explained that the new facilities “are a reflection of where this political formation is growing and where our society wants to go. We have to grow, we have to create excitement and we have to work. We cannot stagnate, because Lanzarote and La Graciosa need us and in just two years we have a new opportunity to make the projects and initiatives that we are currently developing as ants from the opposition a reality and materialize them, in those institutions where we do not govern, and to continue with the good work that we are doing where we do have management capacity.”
