The municipal group of the Canarian Coalition?Canarian Nationalist Party (CC-PNC) in the Arrecife City Council has denounced that "the capital's Consistory stopped executing a total of 1.5 million euros in social and housing matters during 2017." "Two areas that since the beginning of the mandate are under the responsibility of the PSOE and that demonstrate the absolute lack of interest and concern that this party has with the most serious problems of the population of Arrecife", emphasizes the municipal spokesperson for CC-PNC, Samuel Martín.
Martín considers that "these are precisely the issues that citizens cannot understand in public managers." "It is not worth being there to collect a salary, you have to give results and the PSOE neither gave them, nor does it give them and we greatly fear that it will not give them either", points out the CC spokesperson in the Arrecife City Council.
Of the million and a half euros that according to CC has not been executed, "248,782 correspond to housing and 1,437,132.06 euros to social affairs. "In housing matters, expenses such as 120,000 euros destined for rental subsidies or 48,000 euros for social emergency housing subsidies have not been executed", explained Samuel Martín.
Lost items in social material according to CC
Likewise, the councilor highlights that among the items that have been lost in social matters "the 300,000 euros for the construction of a municipal shelter or supervised flats stand out, in addition to 350,000 euros for charitable and welfare care, 50,000 euros for school supplies, 99,000 euros for drug dependence programs, 48,851.41 euros for the minor's program or 236,009.19 euros for another series of expenses always related to the well-being of the most needy population".
The nationalist spokesperson emphasizes that "agreements with different entities, social groups and NGOs have not been carried out either such as Adislan (51,000 euros), El Cribo (80,000 euros), Cruz Roja (85,000 euros) and other agreements with other NGOs worth 112,657.78 euros".

"These are sufficiently serious data for Victoria Sande to be removed from her responsibilities at the head of the Department of Social Services and for the mayor herself to also assume her responsibility", points out Martín, who believes that "the Socialist Party has long portrayed itself as a party that acts for its own interest, without caring about the real problems of Arrecife and its citizens".
