The Cabildo of Lanzarote has signed collaboration agreements with the island's town councils in the area of Human Resources in order to achieve optimal management of the same, specifying a collaboration system that enables cooperation between administrations for the reciprocal use of the reserve lists constituted both in the island Cabildo and in the town councils to cover the needs that arise in them.
In this way, the president of the Cabildo, Mar Dolores Corujo, signed the first agreements this Tuesday with the Town Councils of Tías, Haría and Yaiza, although in the coming dates it will also be signed with the rest of the municipal corporations, Arrecife, San Bartolomé, Teguise and Tinajo.
"Inter-administrative collaboration and cooperation is essential to promote the improvement of the provision of public services, and that these are more effective in serving citizens," said Corujo. "Our obligation is to put within the reach of the residents of our island, all the resources that the public administration has, being, of course, one of the most important values the public employees," he added.
Thanks to these agreements, Cabildo and Town Councils will provide each other with the reserve lists of the categories they have at any given time for their appointment and/or temporary interim/labor contract by the local entity that requires it, in the legally foreseen terms. However, it will be totally voluntary for the members of the list (job bank), the acceptance of calls made at the request of the other administration other than the one forming the list, without, consequently, the non-acceptance may imply any prejudice to their positioning in the list of the calling administration.
Continuous training
The local corporations and the first island institution, by virtue of this agreement, will also allow the participation of the staff of each of the institutions in the Continuing Training actions aimed at the public employees of each corporation and that comply with the requirements demanded in each of the calls.
The island president stresses that "continuous training promotes the professionalization of public employees and guarantees a more effective and efficient administration, so we must join efforts and resources in this regard."
Finally, from the first institution point out that the development and implementation of these collaboration agreements, which will have a duration of two years, will not generate economic consideration in favor of any of the entities.
