The councillor of Alternativa Ciudadana in the Arrecife City Council, Blanca Blancas, has responded to the accusations made by councillor Nayra Callero about the alleged illegal works in her home and has assured that this property does not belong to her. "The license she is referring to has nothing to do with me or my home," said Blancas, who has asked Callero, whom she calls a "turncoat councillor," to publicly retract "the false accusations" against her.
The councillor of Alternativa Ciudadana has sent a statement with a link to the website of the Teguise City Council, where it can be "easily verified" that the license does not correspond to a property of her ownership, since her name does not appear in these public records of the Local Government Boards. Specifically, the person who appears as the applicant for the license is a man, whose surnames do coincide with those of Blanca Blancas Suárez.
The councillor has assured that she will "continue to do her job" as a councillor of Alternativa Ciudadana in the Arrecife City Council "with a very clear conscience." Callero sent a statement this Tuesday in which she criticized the "despicable double standard" of Alternativa Ciudadana and accused this councillor of carrying out "illegal" works in her home.
These criticisms arose after Alternativa Ciudadana and the PP requested the dismissal of the councillor of Urban Planning and Deputy Mayor, José Montelongo, for "allowing irregular works" in Callero's penthouse.
