The mayor of Arrecife, Astrid Pérez, has presented the "transformation" of a 250-meter section of Fred Olsen Avenue.“It is going to be a space that will significantly benefit Arrecife and its citizens and with this action we continue to fulfill the commitment that the city is transforming and we are going to continue working in this direction”, declared the capital's mayor during the presentation.
These actions will go from Calle Guenia to Calle Ildefonso Valls de la Torre and will have a mobility alternative through the adjoining streets that will perfectly guarantee the proper functioning of road traffic.
Astrid Pérez was "proud" of this work to transform the Arrecife coastline since it will allow citizens to enjoy a new space for social cohesion, new accesses to enjoy El Reducto beach, shaded areas, a maximized bike lane, new furniture, lighting and the elimination of architectural barriers.
This project, which will be financed with Next Generation Funds, has a budget of 1,925,000 euros and the execution period will be 8 months from the signing of the re-staking certificate and the completion of the previous actions in Manolo Millares street.
Likewise, Astrid Pérez has thanked the effort of various municipal departments and public employees to make this work a reality.
